FEDEMAC President Sabine Hartmann about the Young Movers Conference

Dear YM,

The YMC has been taken part for many years now and it is always a challenge for every country to be a host for the conference. Thank you very much FEDEM, Spain for the organization of the 2016 YMC in Madrid. It is very important that the conference is being organized by an organizing committee which consists of support from the national association and a group of young people from the membership of that country. So for 2016 especial thanks to Roberto Megia, (Procoex, Madrid) and Beatriz Belinchón Díaz , ( Fedem office) who have kept their group together and mutually offered one of the largest conferences. It was a great event with an overwhelming participation.

FEDEMAC, the lobbying association of all national moving associations in Europe, underlines the importance of such a conference, where young people of our industry meet and have a platform to develop together. Fedemac, who is not the organizer of the event, likes to help and support as much as we can.
Young industry professionals, the ones who are already taking the lead on new projects, departments, companies and are also leading an important role at the local and international associations carry responsibilities in our moving world.

It is also important to organize such a conference within the group of young people and make your own experiences of what is involved in setting up such a big event. Feel the spirit of working together with the colleagues in your country for a common goal.

I would also like to thank those attendees, who many years already discovered the conference and accepted the YMC events as part of their social and business life and who have motivated their colleagues to attend as well. I congratulate those who then also realize it is time to say goodbye to the young movers and make room for the next generation once they get older.

I wish the next organizing committee in Latvia lots of new ideas, energy and fun in preparing the 2017 event . Riga is a wonderful place to be and it will be a new experience and for many of the Young Movers the 1st time in their life to visit.
